2. PURPOSES OF PROCESSING

We process the personal data provided by the user/guest for the following purposes:

  • Managing the booking, check-in and stay at the apartment.
  • Issuing the corresponding invoices and complying with tax obligations.
  • Charging the amounts due for the booking, the deposit and, where applicable, any charges arising from breach of the property rules.
  • Complying with the legal obligation to register guests and report this information to the relevant authorities (Ministry of the Interior / Mossos d’Esquadra), in accordance with public safety regulations applicable to tourist accommodation establishments.
  • Handling enquiries, incidents and requests made through the available contact channels.

Guest contact details are not used for marketing purposes or commercial communications, unless the user expressly requests this through a specific subscription channel.

3. LEGAL BASIS

The processing of data is based on:

  • Performance of a contract: to manage the booking and provide the requested accommodation service.
  • Compliance with a legal obligation: in relation to guest registration, invoicing and tax obligations.
  • Consent of the data subject: for any processing that expressly requires it (for example, the use of certain cookies).

4. RETENTION PERIOD

Data will be kept for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected and, thereafter, for the periods legally required to address any potential liabilities (tax, guest registration, or other), after which it will be deleted or anonymised.

  • Technology providers necessary to deliver the service (booking engine, channel manager, property management system — PMS —, payment gateway), all of which operate within the European Union/European Economic Area.

Outside of these cases, BCN CLOLS APARTMENTS SL does not share personal data with third parties without the data subject’s consent, except where legally required.
